The Metacil Lay-in False Ceiling system consists of the Metacil Tile laid on the Material T-Grid exposed suspension system. The suspension system hangs from the ceiling in the form of a lattice of sections in the shape of inverted ‘T’s. The lattice is covered with square tiles made of Metal or of Mineral Fibre tile.

This method of installation has superior properties in soundproofing, thermal insulation, smooth feeling and in the life of the ceiling. Customers can obtain convenient combinations with lighting fixtures, communication equipments and fire extinguishing equipments. These ceilings can also be maintained and repaired conveniently because of the modular panel assembly. Tiles can be put on T-type exposed components for adhesion. These systems are used widely in Offices, Shopping Centers, and Terminals and in virtually every conceivable application area. Other advantages of the Lay-in system include easy access to the plenum by virtue of the tiles being easily removed, a rigid fire rated grid to ensure a level ceiling and an exposed grid suspension, which aesthetically accentuates  the grid  system.

The Metacil Lay-in False Ceiling system uses either Metal Tiles or Mineral Fiber Board to rest on the Tee .

The Metal tiles are made up of  Aluminium alloy (AA1050 / AA5050 / AA3015) 0.7 mm thick or of 0.5 mm thick Mild Steel galvanised with 120 gsm zinc coating (240 mpa yield stress). The tiles can be uncoated, powder coated with 50 micron polyester after pretreatment or coil coated. When uncoated, they have a matt finish on the exposed side and primer coating on the back. When powder coated, the surface is chromatised and stove enameled  on  both  sides  in  standard colours. When coil coated, the topcoat of the panel has 20 micron polyester coated finish and back has a coat of 5 micron alkyd primer. For better acoustics, the exposed side of tile can have a non-woven tissue over the tile. The tiles can be plain or perforated with holes of 2.5 mm dia. at 5.5 mm c/c. They can also be micro perforated with a hole dia of 1 mm.

Metal Tiles are easy to handle, install, clean and maintain. They are asbestos free

Metal Tiles are fast catching up over Mineral fiber board as they have demonstatably superior properties. Some of these are:

Metal tiles do not burn and satisfy all fire safety related standards.

Metal tiles can be backed with many choices fro good thermal insulation.

Metal tiles can give excellent acoustic properties when perforated and with non-woven tissue. They can be repainted without damaging their acoustic properties , which is not possible with MFB.

Metal Tiles can be painted/ powder coated/ coil coated in different colors for attractive interiors. These tiles can also be made in attractive surface profiles besides the normal flat profile

The MFB Tiles are made up of slag or mineral wool as the main raw material. This is mixed with various additives for enhancing specific properties. It is then burdened, formed, dried, cut, surface finished and spray coated.

MFB Tiles are particularly useful for enhancing the acoustical properties of the covered area. They are also  good in  fire resistance, thermal insulation and decorative properties. The boards come in various textures to suit the décor and give designing options

OUTSTANDING FIRE RESISTANCE

Metacil Mineral Fibre Boards are made from selected Rock wool fibre & special binders. The minerals Rock wool fibers are uniformly interwoven by a unique wet-felting process to form rigid tiles, which are non-combustible & fire resistant. Metacil Mineral Fiber Boards are not only non-combustible, but also less likely to emit toxic gases and smoke. They also do not melt, break or become deformed under normal fire conditions, protecting ceiling areas from fire. The product, made from superfine slag wool, has low contents of organic matter. It is only one among similar products certified with incombustibility Class A standards.

EFFECTIVE THERMAL INSULATION

Metacil Mineral Fibre Boards are made from selected Rock wool fibre & special binders. The minerals Rock wool fibers are uniformly interwoven by a unique wet-felting process to form rigid tiles. Due to their manufacturing process these tiles have porous properties with a low specific gravity, which exhibit efficient thermal insulation Metacil Mineral Fiber Boards offers thermal insulation six times more than that of Gypsum board. Due to this superior thermal insulation, room comfort is maintained at all times, saving energy needed for cooling or heating. Metacil Mineral Fiber Board outperforms other materials in thermal resistance value and thermal insulation capacity.

SUPERIOR SOUND ABSORPTION

Metacil Mineral Fiber Boards provides unique sound absorption & insulation properties, creating sounds proof conditions. Being made from superfine granular mineral wool, they have rich permeating micro pores. They can effectively absorb sound waves, reduce reflected sound and thus improve quality of indoor sound by lowering noise. They are high on sound absorption qualities while resisting sound transmission more effectively than other.

ATTRACTIVE INTERIOR

Metacil Mineral Fiber Boards enhance the beauty of the room due to its unique design. With many choices in specifications, patterns as well as suspension modes, they can aid designers produce good decorative effect with diversified artistic styles. They give designers more options, thereby catering to different consumer groups. As they are pre-painted with vinyl latex paint they also save the painting time and cost.

ASBESTOS FREE

Metacil  Mineral Fiber Boards are asbestos free. Hence the adverse effects on the human body & the environment are eliminated.

EASY INSTALLATION & MAINTENANCE

Metacil Mineral Fiber Boards can be installed by the metal suspension system (T-Grid System). This system is easy to maintain and helps extend the life of the ceiling. Additionally, no trap doors are required, thus saving the extra cost.

RISK FREE STRUCTURE DESIGN

Metacil Mineral Fiber Boards are designed for total safety in calamities like fire or earthquake. Even in the worst disasters the structure does not collapse and only bends without falling.

The above features and benefits position Metacil Mineral Fiber Boards way ahead of any other competing products available in the market today. Metacil Tiles do not sag due to their balanced strength, uniform product quality & good dimensional stability.

Metacil Lay-in false Ceiling System with steel tile 600 mm X 600 mm is manufactured out of 0.50 mm thick regular modified polyester coated galvanized steel (120 gms zinc coating mass, total of both sides, 240 Mpa yield stress). They have matt finish on the exposed side and a primer coating on the back. Tiles can be made from material coil coated on both the sides in manufacturer’s standard color shades, with square or beveled edges and flanges, produced on advanced equipment, which includes several leveling stages in the manufacturing process. The tile is perforated with holes 2.5 mm dia at 5.5 mm c/c. The exposed side of the tile has non-woven tissue over the tile for better acoustics. The exposed side of tile lies in 20 micron coil coated standard 600 mm X 600 mm module 24 mm Table Exposed metal grid. The grid is precision made to within plus or minus 0.25 mm tolerance. The exposed metal grid comprises of Main Runners and Cross Tees, roll formed from galvanized steel to BS 2989Z-18 zinc coating. The grid system is designed to satisfy ASTM C635 loading and deflection criteria. The main and cross tees are provided with bayonet coupling for quick installation and have a height of 33/25 mm. The grid is suspended from the roof with G.I. wire rods for quick adjustment by suspension hangers at max. 1200 mm and is filled with 1200 mm / 600 mm cross tees. Hangers are fixed to roof by expansion fasteners. Wall angle are 25 mm X 25 mm X 0.4 mm thick coil coated steel matching the colour of the tile.
